Apple announced four iPhones during its September event in the form of the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Preorders for Apple iPhone begin on September 9. The iPhone 14 Plus starts at $899 / £949 / AU$1,579 for the base 128GB model.
The phone comes with a 6.68-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 1284×2778 pixels at a pixel density of 458 pixels per inch (PPI). Apple’s new is powered by a Hexa-core Apple A15 Bionic processor. The phones come with 5G support. The US models of the About Apple iPhone have dropped the physical SIM cards in favor of eSIM.
The smartphone features a dual camera: 12 MP (wide) + 12 MP (ultrawide) with Dual-LED dual-tone flash. On the front, there is a dual camera: 12 MP (wide) + SL 3D (depth/biometrics sensor). The Apple iPhone 14 Plus has 2x optical zoom, and up to 5x digital zoom, so while it can’t be a zooming champ like some of its competition, it’s not a slouch either. For video, Apple introduced Action Mode as a software-based video stabilization feature.
Like the rest of the Apple iPhone 14 line, the 14 Plus ships with iOS 16. Both the 14 and 14 Plus are available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB sizes. It is available in various colors including Midnight, Purple, Starlight, Blue, and Red. Apart from the unlocked versions, Apple also sells the new iPhone 14 models with carrier restrictions.
The iPhone 14 Plus comes with wireless charging, in addition to wired charging. Apple says the 14 Plus phone has the “best battery life on iPhone. The new phone gets to 50% in 30 minutes via 20W charging. And it also supports 15W MagSafe charging. For security, the latest iPhone comes with a Face ID feature, which is considered one of the most advanced forms of security in a smartphone.
