Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE went on sale on June 18, 2021. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE Price in Pakistan starts at around Rs. 144,999 with Android 11 and comes in Mystic Black, Mystic Silver, Mystic Green, and Mystic Pink. That buys you a wi-fi-only model with 64GB of built-in storage and 4GB of RAM. It has an immersive 12.4-inch display, supports the company’s S Pen stylus, and will even let you tack on 5G connectivity for a little extra.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE ditches flagship silicon for a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset, along with 4GB or 6GB of RAM. There are two variants of the S7 FE: the 5G model and the Wi-Fi model. The 5G model relies on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor (the one we tested) and the Wi-Fi model relies on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor. The Snapdragon 778G is a much newer chip with updated Arm cores, a newer GPU, and other improvements compared to the Snapdragon 750G.
In addition, the 12.4-inch panel here has a slightly lower resolution (1600×2560 as opposed to 1752×2800). But it’s also LCD instead of OLED and tops out at 60Hz. The S7 FE feels sluggish by comparison and soon leads to a less enjoyable experience. Note that the panel here is 60Hz, not the 120Hz used in the Galaxy Tab S7. This means that moving through Android’s menus isn’t as smooth.
You get an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 on the back, with an f/1.9 lens, and a 5-megapixel Samsung GC5035 upfront. The 2560 x 1600 resolution provides decent enough pixel density. The front camera also offers clearer video-chat images than almost all laptop webcams. The display is bright, with excellent color accuracy.
The array of configurations is also odd. The Wi-Fi version of the tablet can be had with 64GB of storage/4GB of RAM, 128GB/6GB, or 256GB/6GB. You can add up to 1TB of external storage with a microSD card, but there’s no way to upgrade the RAM. The tablet ships with Android 11 and One UI 3.1. One UI 3.1 includes minor improvements to DeX (desktop-mimicking) mode.
As far as battery life is concerned, the Tab S7 FE is a winner. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE is a very efficient tablet, with its 10,090mAh battery good for around 13 hours of video playback. Which is a good deal more than the 10 hours offered by the current crop of iPads. It supports 45W charging, too, which will get you a full charge in about 90 minutes. Buy to benefit you’ll have to invest in a 45W adapter separately.
