Apple iPhone 12 Pro - Offers

The iPhone 12 Pro release date was October 23, 2020, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max followed later in November. The Apple iPhone 12 Pro was one of the most feature-rich iPhones you could buy when it launched. Available in 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch size options, the two new Pro models feature full-screen Super Retina XDR displays that are edge-to-edge except for the Face ID notch.

The iPhone 12 Pro has the same A14 Bionic processor as the iPhone 12 and iPad Air, but with 6GB of RAM instead of just 4GB and with a starting storage of 128GB – double the 12’s 64GB. Performance is equally excellent all-around: snappy, slick, and fast to process photos, videos, or when playing games.

It supports the most 5G bands, but the fastest speeds are in limited areas. 5G is one of the biggest new features on the Apple iPhone 12 Pro’s spec sheet, though it does share that with the iPhone 12, of course.

The iPhone 12 Pro price starts at $999 / £999 / AU$1,699 for the 128GB model – that’s an improved minimum storage offering over both the iPhone 11 Pro and the base model of the new iPhone 12 – with the price rising to $1,099 / £1,099 / AU$1,869 for 256GB and $1,299 / £1,299 / AU$2,219 for 512GB.

The 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro has a resolution of 2532 x 1170 with 460 pixels per inch, while the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max has a resolution of 2778 x 1284 and a 458 PPI. The displays offer HDR support with 1200 nits peak brightness, Wide Color, Haptic Touch, and True Tone, all features that have been introduced over the years.

Battery life is excellent and the phone lasts about 40 hours between charges with the screen used for apps and video for well over six hours in that time, which is similar to the iPhone 12 and longer than most of the competition. Because 5G is so battery hungry, Apple has implemented it by default in a kind of special ‘Only when needed’ mode. It takes 25 minutes to charge the battery to 50% but just under two hours for a full charge.
